Green Lake Renewal Donor Update | March 2018

Your Donations Are Making Visible Impacts.

Nine days until the official start of spring, and your generous support is creating another Greater-Than-Ever-Before season of learning, fun, wellness and community in Green Lake.

See everything you're doing:

Now through the end of March, The Lobby Gallery at Town Square will feature artwork  by students of the figure drawing sessions held at Town Square.

Lobby Gallery: Check out this month's gallery display of work by the talented artists who have been attending Figure Drawing sessions at Town Square. Next up: The International Bird Man himself, Tom Schultz, will be showing during April. Meet him during Birds and Brews at the start of Bird Fest on April 27. Your donations make this high-profile venue possible for both emerging and well-known artists.

Freeland Film Festival: We are so honored that Town Square will be the headquarters for this huge, new, annual Green Lake event, showcasing films from around the world and attracting unprecedented attention to our little community. Your donations to Green Lake Renewal have made Town Square--our repurposed historic courthouse--into a great showplace to welcome visitors...who always look at this accomplishment with awe!

Bunny Bingo: Hop on over and join the fun on Saturday, March 31 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. A great way to celebrate Easter with the family.

Donors can bring their new or gently used gowns to the front desk at Town Square in exchange for a tax receipt.

Hangers Resale Therapy: Prom Season is coming up fast, and those dresses can get Expensive! If you have a gently dress that is "Prom-able," bring it on over. We'll be offering these lovely frocks for low, low prices to the young ladies of the area whose families simply can't spend the big bucks on a one-night outfit. What a great feeling to help a young woman feel beautiful on this special evening. Your support make this great little shop possible.

Markets: Town Square's Spring Market is underway! Every Saturday morning from 9:00 am until noon through April, pick up yummy and fresh goodies local farms and original creations by local artists. Your donations help to support these great entrepreneurs and create this great, weekly community event. YAY!

Summer Camp for Kids: Camp Chocolate! Four solid days of Chocolate, Chocolate and More Chocolate, including designing your own chocolate bar, creating a chocolate brand, creating a marketing plan and then actually SELLING your chocolates at the Friday Market at Town Square. Grades K-2: June 12-15, Grades 3-5: June 19-22. Sign up information coming soon. Thank you for making this ultra-cool event possible.

Phil Burkart of Green Lake Renewal and Mike Stagg of Stagg Builders discuss the elevations for Mill Pond Terrace.

Green Lake Fitness 24/7: Thanks to your support, fitness members 55 and over get a deal! $20 per month. Right at the age when you start asking yourself, "Who stole my body and replaced it with this old person?" ...it's Green Lake Renewal donors to the rescue! Hooray!

Mill Pond Terrace: You really came forward to create this ambitious project. Wowie! After approval early this year of a professionally-created plan, and a series of meetings with a wide variety of Green Lake area contractors, Mill Pond Terrace is slated to break ground in May (weather permitting). This is A MAJOR downtown Green Lake physical improvement, providing space for entrepreneurs, food trucks, events and public gatherings, transforming the underused and aging parking lots to the north of Town Square into a valuable community asset.

Entrepreneurship: This is the big one, folks. People from all over the area, including Fond du Lac, Oshkosh and the Fox Valley are signing up for Green Lake Renewal's first annual Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, featuring Appirio co-founder Chris Barbin as keynote speaker. We will be launching a major entrepreneurship support initiative at this event, with top-tier mentors, classes and a new business center at Town Square. Spaces is limited, so CLICK HERE and RESERVE YOUR SEAT NOW.

Thank you for your generous support.

Sincerely,

Fran Hill
