Legendary artist, gallery director, published author, community leader, art educator and advocate Frank Juarez will be in Green Lake to instruct a professional development workshop for artists on Saturday, August 18, from 10 am to 4 pm. Participants are heavily encouraged to bring a laptop, notebook, pricing history, CV, bio, artist statement.

This day-long program is aimed to assist emerging and established artists in creating a pathway to success. The workshop will cover topics on self- promotion, effective use of social media strategies, understanding the art market, strategic planning, and balancing studio time with business of art practices.

“There’s a growing need to expose, educate, and engage artists into making their passion and talent sustainable,” said Frank Juarez. “The reality is that self-employed artists and creative entrepreneurs need to be equipped with the necessary skills to move their careers forward, evaluate progress, establish objectives, and to determine the best possible route to achieve career goals.”

Participants who complete the program will leave inspired, refreshed, and more knowledgeable about the “business of art” and how to make the most of their artwork and art business. Registration is $55 and deadline to sign up is August 13. Participants can register online at www.greenlakerenewal.org, by calling 920.807.0008, or in person at the Town Square office at 492 Hill Street in Green Lake.
