TANYA SCHWARTZ'S PAPERMAKING PARTIES

House full of kids? Birthday party coming up? Just need a break? Tanya Schwartz Roeper’s Papermaking For Kids is a super-fun, hands-on, creative and messy way to keep those energetic little people having fun while learning and creating. And only the finished product—not the mess—comes home with them. Book a party/class with Tanya for up to five children for just $15 per kid, and she’ll invite them into her own professional Town Square papermaking studio to learn to:

  • Create paper pulp from scrap paper

  • Use a simple mould and deckle for forming sheets

  • Add colored pulp and/or dried flowers to their sheet

  • Pull, press and dry their handmade paper

You can schedule your one-hour to 90-minute papermaking session during the morning, afternoon or evening, and all materials are included in the price of the class. Kids can bring dried flowers to add to their artwork, and will take home their finished work—from one to six sheets of handmade paper.

Tanya Schwartz Roeper, is the daughter of the late Lester Schwartz, one of Green Lake’s most well- known and admired artists. With her sisters, she curates the Lester Schwartz Gallery at Town Square, the only permanent, public exhibit of his work. In addition, Tanya creates paper art from her own Town Square studio.
