Avrom Farm

Avrom Farm curates a local food grocery service where customers can shop online and have delivered meats, vegetables, dry goods, dairy, and more produced on their farm and over 20 other local farms and artisans. You can also find them at the Wicker Park, Green City, Glenwood Farmers Markets in Chicago, The Market at Town Square, and a Green Lake pop-up market.

Avrom Farms was started by four people who believed quality; healthy food should be located in one place. Andy and Sara Sotter, Lydia Nye, and Hayden Holbert have all had different routes leading them to Green Lake. Hayden Holbert’s grandfather and artist, Lester Schwartz, bought two old dairy farms overlooking Green Lake in the 1950s. Lester transformed the landscape into an art gallery and sculpture garden among forest and pasture. Some of the pieces can be seen today in front of Town Square. Lydia Nye spent most of her life growing up in San Antonio, Texas but followed her love of agriculture to Oshkosh, where she quickly met and bonded with Hayden. Andy Sotter was introduced to the Green Lake by his close friends in June of 1994. Andy is hoping to play an active role in helping rebrand Green Lake as a food hub in central Wisconsin by collaborating with Town Square. Andy’s wife, Sara Sotter, was first introduced to Green Lake in 2014, since then she has taken up many different roles in the Green Lake community. She has experience at Stuart’s Landscaping, Green Lake School District as a 4-K teacher, and a barista at Sassafrass.

Next Spring, Avrom is opening a local food and garden store in Green Lake where you can shop a broad selection of locally grown foods in addition to organic gardening supplies and seedlings.

Visit Avrom Farms at The Market every Friday and keep up to date with them on Instagram and Facebook!
