Here's big breaking news. Spectrum News 1 Wisconsin told the story of the Heartfelt Hearts that were placed on shops in downtown Green Lake. In case you missed it, Green Lake business owners recently received a heartfelt bit of happiness. Shop windows in the downtown area were surprisingly posted with images of hearts. The message on the signs assured the businesses that the community would be there for them when everyday living came back to normal. Beginning now, you’ll be able to enjoy noteworthy news and timely tips from various experts in the Town Square family to help make our time spent at home more interesting, educational and fun! SHARE IT WITH THE CLASS emails and social posts will offer up information on a variety of topics, from at-home fitness ideas to family art projects and lots of stuff in between. So watch for what’s coming your way. But don’t worry. There’s no final exam. Just a “curriculum” of enjoyment!
While you are hunkered down in your home, between ordering out from our fabulous restaurants, you’ve probably been cooking. So hey, let’s turn the heat up on the fun and make a cookbook together! As has already begun, we’ll share recipes offered by folks from the community through the Town Square email program. And eventually we’ll compile them to create an actual cookbook. It’s like a giant community recipe club!

Some wonderful person(s) had displayed hearts with messages of hope and support on many of the downtown businesses, ensuring them that customers will come back and all will be good again.
The Boys & Girls Club is coming to Green Lake! The fun begins this summer, as the new club — right here at Town Square — takes on Green Lake's Summer Rec program, with an expanded schedule of fun, learning and activities of all kinds. Artist Marcia Jackson, AKA “Gypsy Woman Art”, is coming to Town Square Community Center to demonstrate her unique acrylic pouring techniques at a one-day workshop on Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 12 pm. Corks and Canvas, a paint and sip experience with artist Becky Andersen, is coming back to Town Square on Thursday, September 12 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Becky Andersen will guide her students through an entire painting from start to finish all while letting loose with a glass (or few) of wine or beer. No experience necessary.
Jane Seymour will visit Green Lake on the weekend of Freeland Film Festival (September 13-15). Ms. Seymour will be speaking about a new project that her foundation is cooperating on with Freeland Foundation. This panel will be titled: Rewarding Goodness: Can the Technology Revolution Help Save the World? Stay tuned for date and time of this exciting panel discussion!
Town Square Community Center is partnering with Gongtopia to bring a one-day gong meditation session to Green Lake on Saturday, August 17 from 1:30 to 3 pm. Starting September 11, 2019, Moraine Park Technical College will offer a five-week business startup series of classes at Town Square Community Center. Classes will run on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:25 pm through October 9. Interested individuals can find more information online at morainepark.edu/programs or by calling (800) 472-4554.
Back by popular demand, artist Donna Marquart will be teaching a series of stained glass art classes on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning August 6, 2019 through August 27, 2019 at Town Square Community Center in Green Lake. Participants of all skill levels can sign up for the four-week session for $100 per person, which includes most materials.
Town Square Community Center invites all foodies on a hands-on cooking experience with chef Kathy McCarthy to learn how to make the best, and freshest salads of the summer. The class will be held in Town Square’s demo kitchen on Tuesday, August 6 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Amigos of the flamingo are invited to Pink Flamingo Bingo on Saturday, July 27 at Town Square Community Center in Downtown Green Lake. Doors and concessions open at 5:00 pm, game sales open at 5:30 pm and game sessions start at 6:30 pm.
Shoreline Boat Center of Green Lake, Wisconsin just announced that its annual lake party, Boat Jam, will have to relocate to land due to imperfect lake conditions. The event will be hosted on the originally scheduled date of Sunday, July 21, 2019 but the location has changed to the Green Lake Town Square grounds.
More than 200 supporters of Town Square Community Center enjoyed a lovely evening at the White Hot Party fundraising event on Saturday, July 13 atop beautiful Sandstone Bluff overlooking majestic Green Lake at the property of the Vandervelde Family. The 2019 White Hot Party was made possible in part by generous sponsors and a team of volunteers. Special thanks go out to Co-chairs Joan Lloyd and Madden for their time and efforts to make the White Hot Party spectacular. Thank you to three local caterers, who teamed to provide food for the event: Goose Blind Grill and Bar, Horseradish Kitchen + Market, and Peppercorn Catering.

After several successful preview services, Fox Tale Brewing is pleased to announce the grand opening of its first taproom, Town Square Tap, on Wednesday, June 26th at 4pm. Town Square Tap is located on Mill Pond Terrace, part of Town Square Community Center in Downtown Green Lake, Wisconsin.
