Join us for the Third Annual Green Lake Community Street Bash
A popular end-of-summer tradition is in its third year in downtown Green Lake this Saturday, August, 31. The third annual Green Lake Community Street Bash is a free street party featuring live music, food trucks, drinks and good company.
The rain-or-shine, tented event will take place overlooking the Green Lake Mill Pond on Water Street on Saturday, August 31. The event will feature four local food vendors, a cash bar, and live music by the Davidson County Band. The Davidson County Band is a six-piece, high-energy band from Chicago whose repertoire spans new country to well-known classics.
Mike and Jill Havey, local philanthropists, are sponsoring the community-scale party to benefit local nonprofit organizations. “We were planning on throwing a party for our friends, and then realized we had an opportunity to expand the event to benefit the community and organizations we care deeply about,” said Mike Havey.
The admission-free Street Bash will collect free-will donations to benefit three non-profit organizations: Green Lake Association, Green Lake American Legion Post 306 and Town Square Community Center.
The Green Lake Association works to improve Big Green Lake’s water quality through conservation projects, research and outreach. Town Square Community Center works to enrich the lives of the Green Lake community members, family, and friends by providing cultural, social, recreational, educational, and economic opportunities for people of all ages. The Green Lake American Legion continues to support youth and Veteran programs and, with a new building, many of the area’s non-profit organizations.
Town Square Community Center is a project of the 501(c)3 non-profit community revitalization organization Green Lake Renewal. For more information, please call 920-807-0008 or visit www.greenlaketownsquare.org.
