Student artists and creative makers: end your day engrossed in the creative process. Each session will center on a general theme with several project prompts, but you’ll be given a chance to design, plan and play with a wide array of art materials. Along with standard painting, drawing and collage techniques, there will be an emphasis on learning creative ways to repurpose basic recycled and found objects. This is very much a process-based, student-centered workshop, so student artists should come prepared to use their creative thinking caps and their imaginations.
Designed for Students Age 7 and older.
About the Instructor: Laura Pahlas, a former Montessori teacher, recently relocated back to Ripon. She grew up in a family of artists, and the creative process has always been central to her life. Her workshops offer students the opportunity to truly tap into their creativity as they play with materials to design and plan their own projects. This model not only allows all students to find success at their level, but also builds confidence and fosters important skills such as problem-solving, planning, communication, collaboration….and just simply FUN.
A $5 materials fee is due to the instructor at the time of the class.
