Arnold Grummer’s 2nd Annual Midwest Paper Fest to be Held at Town Square
Arnold Grummer’s Papermaking will launch its second annual Midwest Paper Fest with an opening reception on Friday, October 5 from 6 -7:30 pm at Town Square. A juried exhibition will follow the reception, wherein the winners of this year’s Paper Fest will be announced. The catered event is free and open to the public.
“We are beyond thrilled to have such a beautiful display of transformative art at Town Square,” said Jorge Gutierrez of Green Lake Renewal, the non-profit organization that operates the Town Square community center. “A special thanks to Tanya Schwartz and Kim Scheidermayer for bringing this annual festival to Green Lake.”
Two master classes with renowned artist will also be held on Saturday, October 6. Artist Helen Hiebert will host a workshop on working with high shrinkage abaca from 10 am to 1 pm. The fee for the class is $35 or $30 for students. Artist and Gallery Director Frank Juarez will host his popular workshop on “Professional Development for Artists” from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. The fee for this workshop is $20 or $15 for students. Participants may receive a discount by taking both workshops for $45or $40 for students.
