Elizabeth Kazda Exhibit on Display at Town Square

Spectral Light Photography Showcasing Through June

Local artist Elizabeth Kazda will unveil her spectral light photography on Friday, June 1 with a reception from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Town Square Community Center’s lobby gallery. The exhibit, including several pieces available for purchase, will be on display through June 30.

Spectral light photography takes subjects and places them under a prism that breaks light into individual spectral colors. Kazda has developed techniques to harness this spectral light as both a light source and a means to color white flowers, white paper, and colorless glass.

Kazda has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Graduate Gemologist certification. For her, photography is the perfect mix of art and science. She lives with her husband and her two cats in Markesan, WI. On sunny days you will find her “following” the sun throughout the rooms of her house with my prisms and camera.
