Garrett Clark Launches Eagle Scout Project at Town Square
June 24, 2020, Green Lake, WI - Meet Garrett Clark. A Boy Scout of Troop 630 who started scouting as a cub scout tiger in 2010 and has been in scouting ever since. He moved to Green Lake in 2016. Garrett personally feels that scouting has impacted who he is and who he wanted to be. He makes sure that he stays active within his troop any way he can. Garrett enjoys the outdoors and staying physically active. He loves to go fishing, camping, hiking, running, and biking.
“For my Eagle Scout Project I have decided to raise money for a bike repair station to be located at the future bike path trailhead at the Mill Pond Terrace at Town Square,” explains Garrett. “I have worked with both Town Square and Green Lake Greenways and chose Town Square as an ideal spot because the community center is a hub of activity in downtown Green Lake, the available space, and how the trailhead works so well with the other wellness activities at Town Square. I believe this project will benefit our community by promoting biking, bring people into Green Lake, and helping our local businesses.”
The bike repair station will feature a variety of tools connected onto retractable cables, a wheel chock (enabling two bikes to be serviced at once), and an outdoor air pump. The repair station will be part of a larger trailhead project which will also feature a kiosk with bike trail maps and brochures, a bike rack, and benches. In addition to the bike repair station, I will install these additional items as part of my project.
“My goal for this project is to promote our local businesses and bring people outdoors,” said Garrett.
