5 Ways Town Square Kept Summer 2020 Fun!

In addition to the joys of a summer filled with mask-wearing, only dressing the top half of yourself professionally to take on those Zoom work meetings and learning all the different ways to stay six feet apart, your Town Square Community Center got creative and kept offering you unique and exciting programs and events, all while changing with the times.

Here are our top 5 ways Town Square kept your Summer 2020 fun and active.

Community Doesn’t Happen Without U!

There were so many ways you came together as a community this summer especially supporting the local farmers and vendors at The Market on Fridays, artists at Art Market on Saturdays, Jeremy Stibbs photo gallery, and shopping at Hangers: Resale Therapy during the Green Lake Citywide Sidewalk Sales. Having you “buy local” at events hosted at Town Square Community Center speaks volumes about your dedication to see this community thrive no matter what!

Kids Day Camps

After so many kids were home from school, Town Square was offering the younglings things to do! Most notable were Camp Chocolate and Broadway Camp. Camp Chocolate saw two weeks of camps with almost 20 kids baking and marketing their treats for The Markets at Town Square. Your kids took the stage at Broadway Camp to learn popular songs and jazzy choreography all week in preparation for the grand performances in Town Square’s Studio A.

See the performance of this year's Broadway Camp. One of the many events for kids put on at Town Square Community Center in Green Lake, WI.

Town Square Went Virtual

You couldn’t come to us, so Town Square came to you...right into your living room, office, or kitchen. Zoom (video conferencing not the 70s kids’ educational program) became a lifeline for everyone. You could get personal cooking demonstrations with celebrity Chef Ace Champion and tips to improve your photography skills with Michael Cooney.

White Hot BOAT Party Still Floats

More than 30 boats and 140 passengers took to the lake on a Saturday night, turning the event this year into a crazy White Hot BOAT Party! The reimagined party consisted of a social-distanced gathering, boat decorating contest, and live music on a barge anchored in Norwegian Bay. Thanks to community members like YOU, $66,000 was raised to help keep Town Square afloat!

Thank you for joining us for 2020's White Hot BOAT Party!

The Right Stuff

New additions arrived at Town Square just in time to enhance your summer. Some of you connected with Dan Hutter to check out the Moboevo showroom featuring e-bikes, kayaks, and so much more! Did you reserve a space to access WiFi or binged Netflix while working out at the Fitness Center? Then you experienced our newly upgraded WiFi throughout Town Square. And to make the summer complete, Bucket Wings flew in to satisfy your chicken wing cravings and provide an effortless and tasty meal, giving you more time to enjoy your summer.
