Boutique Blowout is a big deal

Does your heart race at the thought of scoring a good deal? Do you consider bargain hunting a competitive sport? Is the only thing that makes shopping better a glass of wine while you’re doing it? If this sounds like you, grab your “galentines” and head to Town Square Community Center on February 19 for a day of mega-deals, shopping, wine and fun. 

Town Square is hosting its first-ever Boutique Blowout sale on Saturday, February 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Local vendors will be selling clothing and accessories at significantly marked-down prices for this one-day event. 

Participating retailers include Indigo Blu, The American Alchemy, Cloudy Skies Design, Dish of Green Lake and Hangers Resale Therapy, with the possibility of more being added. 

Wine will be available for purchase for those who want to sip while they shop. 

Barb Berg is the owner of Indigo Blu, which has locations inside Heidel House Hotel & Conference Center and on Mill Street in Green Lake. Berg helped spearhead the Town Square event which was inspired by a similar sale in Milwaukee.  

“We had people lined up out the door during a snowstorm,” Berg said of the Milwaukee event. “The sales are that good. Merchandise is considerably marked down and you won’t find anything over $100.” 

The event is a win-win, Berg said. Shoppers find deeply discounted designer fashions and boutique owners can clear out their stores quickly to make way for next season’s inventory.
