Gary Hazelberg

You may have seen Gary Hazelberg’s name in our September calendar of events. He is a man of many talents, and recently, kind enough to carve out some time to showcase his love of woodworking via Zoom to an excited class of beginners. (And what a fun group that was!)

How did Gary’s relationship start with your community center? Gary became aware of Town Square Community Center’s unique opportunities when he served on the Green Lake Renewal board. Gary has also rented office space, enjoyed the farmers market, attended the recent bicycling seminar, and other events.

“I got involved because I think community involvement is essential, especially in Green Lake,’ says Gary. “Green Lake is such a special place, but it is difficult to keep it special without a lot of community involvement.”

Gary shared a favorite memory of remembering what the building was like as the Green Lake County Courthouse and watched how it evolved into such a cool community center. He thinks it is amazing that this little community can show such significant support for something like this.  

“Town Square has something for everyone, of all ages.”
