Barb Picardo

Barb Picardo has a long family history in Green Lake, first coming here from the Chicago area to visit her grandmother, the woman who would later donate the land that became Dodge Memorial Park. As an adult, she moved to New York and danced professionally, specializing in Spanish Classical, Flamenco and Regional, and toured throughout North America and Europe. After retiring from dance, Barb joined the fashion industry, working with Italian designers and travelling frequently between New York, Paris and Italy.

In 1992, Barb left the city behind to create a new life in Green Lake. After Town Square opened, she said, "it was wonderful and amazing to see this in a small village. What's going on is so encouraging that I wanted to get in on the fun." Today, Barb is a dedicated Town Square front desk docent, frequently adding her fashion sense to helping with the Hangers resale shop.
