About Kathy McCarthy
After spending over 25 years in the hospitality industry, Kathy McCarthy turned the corner and began her journey in the culinary arts field utilizing her candy making skills that she learned with her mother. Alongside her mother, Kathy would create candy confections at the holidays and perfect their recipes to mouth-watering goodness. In 2000, Kathy started her own Gourmet Chocolate business in Scottsdale, AZ, crafting confections with pure Belgian chocolate and high-quality ingredients.
Kathy joined the Savory Spoon Cooking School in Door County, WI in 2008 and has created the same delicious treats for the store as well as becoming a cooking instructor for the school, specializing in pasta, confections and brunch treats. Moving to Green Lake in 2014, Kathy began cooking at the Courthouse Kitchens creating menus and hands-on cooking experiences for groups. In 2018, Kathy and her husband, Tom opened the Mill Street Cooking School, offering guests and small groups a personalized cooking experience. Kathy will be the featured chef for The Market at Town Square where she will feature cooking demos utilizing farm-fresh produce and making the most of the summertime bounty.
