Cocktail Meatballs Trio Returns to Rock The Market at Town Square

Eastern Wisconsin’s eclectic music trio, Cocktail Meatballs, is returning to the Market at Town Square this Friday, July 20 to play at 3:30 pm on 492 Hill St in Downtown Green Lake. The performance is free and open to the public.

Justin, Emily, and Jonathan formed the Cocktail Meatballs trio many years ago, and have played music for decades. Hosting numerous guest musicians, the band plays at events and establishments throughout East Central Wisconsin. Cocktail Meatballs plays music ranging from Bach to The Beatles, Gershwin to Bublé; jazz standards, pop favorites, show tunes, children’s tunes, folk music, and tangos.

Emily studied music at UWSP and UWM; she has played the violin for over thirty years with established orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the midwest and in Europe. She recently founded the Waupaca Area Orchestra and Vivace Chamber Players and is active in coordinating community arts and literacy.

Justin is a Biology Professor at UWSP and is a museum curator of fishes. Justin, guitarist and founder of our combo, is an aficionado of jazz, folk, and pop music. He enjoys programming and arranging the repertoire for Cocktail Meatballs.

Jonathan graduated from UWSP with a degree in biology, and is an avid fly angler. He has played music most of his life, and is a fixture in the central Wisconsin music scene. He currently plays with several musical groups and recently was a featured soloist with the Vivace Chamber Players. He also teaches violin, mandolin, and ukulele privately.

The Market at Town Square is held every Friday from 3 pm until 6:30 pm through September 28. An Arts and Crafts Market operated by Town Square’s Artist Co-Op is also held on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm through September 29.
