Giving Tuesday Shows the Power of Community
What a day! This past Tuesday, December 1, community supporters from near and far stepped forward to chip in on ‘Gift Boxes’ that will help your Town Square Community Center buy supplies to serve the thousands of people who will walk through our doors in 2021.
During the one-day campaign, part of an annual, international day of giving, generous folks sent gifts totaling more than $8,700, enabling Town Square to provide everything from cleaning supplies to paper towels to plumbing and heating supplies for the many, many people who use your community center during the year.
To all of the wonderful people who chipped in, our entire community is extremely grateful. All of those little things really add up, and this $8,700 is going to make a huge difference. That is the Power of Community.
Anyone who was busy, busy, busy on Tuesday, and didn’t get a chance to send a gift, the giving portal will stay open through Saturday, December 5. So, with holiday shopping on your mind, please don’t forget to add your community center to your gift list! Every gift—no matter what the size—helps your entire community.
