Annual Appeal: Jenn's Story

I grew up in Green Lake and attended Green Lake High School in the 80’s. (Yes, I am THAT old.) There were not an awful lot of things to do in town back then. We had a variety store, a couple of gas stations and a grocery store. We did not have a Community Center or anything of the kind. I remember as a child we always went to Ripon to events and community happenings. There just seemed to be more going on over there.

When I moved back to Green Lake in 2017, things had definitely changed and in large part, it was because of Town Square.

I started painting and was asked to show some of my work at Town Square’s Lobby Gallery. Through that process I met some absolutely fabulous people. I can tell you this - for me personally, I have loved the camaraderie and the blessings of friendships Green Lake Town Square has afforded me.

The level of commitment to and engagement with the community by Town Square is unsurpassed. There is always something to do at Town Square. Whether you want to stop in at the fabulous resale shop, Hangers, check out the local artist of the month in the Lobby Gallery, attend the farmers market or one of the fun events like bingo or the more recent pop-up supper club with live music, join an art or cooking class, whatever it is, it’s always something and it’s always a great time.

Now I sit on the Town Square Board of Directors and get a firsthand look at ALL that we do and, best of all, everything that we are capable of doing. This is where your donation comes in. When you join me in donating to Town Square’s annual appeal, you are building on this incredible momentum that has been growing for the past 10 years.
