Green Lake Fitness to Launch Operations in Separate Green Lake Location
Three years after becoming the operator of the Town Square Community Center-owned Green Lake Fitness, Colton Burt is moving the popular fitness facility to another location in Green Lake.
“We are thrilled with the success of the fitness center under Colton’s management,” said Mary Cyrier, president of Green Lake Renewal, the nonprofit organization that operates Town Square Community Center. “Like we’ve done with so many other entrepreneurs that have started at Town Square and then moved out into the community (most recently Dan Hutter of Moboevo Electric Bikes), we’re excited to see this business grow beyond the walls of Town Square.”
Green Lake Fitness launched at Town Square just a year after the community center opened its doors, and in eight years has grown into a well-known community asset.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to invite the Alexander Company to develop the old safety building into a residential development bringing more people to live right in downtown Green Lake,” explained Ms. Cyrier. “We have been working for more than a year on a potential condo development there, and have been in talks with Colton since January about planning a possible relocation of the fitness facility.”
Mr. Burt has several nearby locations under consideration, and a decision and timeline are expected soon. “Our business has grown at a great rate in the past couple of years,” said Mr. Burt, “And we are looking forward to announcing our new Green Lake location. We are grateful to Town Square Community Center for helping us get started here in Green Lake.”
