Live from Town Square...

Live from Town Square, it's The Green Lake Show! Be part of the live studio audience during the taping of Town Square Community Center’s inaugural Green Lake Show on Saturday, January 15.

The variety show, which is free to attend, is hosted by Fran Hill and her trusty sidekick Jenn Aither, owner of Aither State Farm Agency. The show is modeled after late-night talk shows and will feature special guest interviews, musical interludes, audience interaction and lots of wacky banter from Green Lake's cast of characters.

“We have long wanted to host a community-focused variety show that spotlights local personalities and events. Our 10th anniversary year seemed like the perfect time to launch it,” Hill said. “Audience members will see the show unedited in real-time, which we think is going to be a riot.”

The Green Lake show will hold tapings four times in 2022. Show clips will later be uploaded to Town Square’s YouTube channel and shared on the organization’s website and social media.

January’s Green Lake Show guests include:

  • 10-year-old Etta Maes, kid expert, will discuss upcoming Town Square children’s programs

  • Elvis impersonator-impersonator Phil Burkart will preview the Wisconsin Supper Club Dinner event in April

  • ballroom dance instructor Karen Wisehart will teach the audience some dance moves

  • chef Trent Hazelberg will demonstrate gumbo cooking techniques ahead of Town Square’s Mardi Gras gumbo cookoff in March

Brandon native and guitarist/singer Ted Otto, who performs locally as Buck Fifty, will be the house musician. Otto wrote a special Green Lake theme song for the show that the audience will hear.

Doors and the Jury Room Bar open at 4 p.m. The show starts at 5 p.m. in the ballroom and will conclude at 6:15 p.m. Concessions including alcoholic beverages, soda and snacks will be available in the Jury Room Bar.

Save the dates! Upcoming Green Lake Show tapings are April 16, July 9 and October 15.
