Ever wonder how we keep Town Square Community Center, a 70,000 square foot building, shining clean? Look no further than our clean team captain, Betty Capen.

Betty has been keeping it clean here at Town Square for more than three years, showing up every week, rain or shine. She had been seeking to get out of the house once a week to do something physical. Sue Lesnau, one of Betty's neighbors and a Town Square volunteer, told her the community center was  seeking to hire someone to tidy up. The result: a Win-Win situation. and the rest is history.

Since starting, Betty has seen many changes to the building like the transformation of the Ballroom and how Hangers: Resale Therapy has grown!

Her advice?

Come check what Town Square has to offer! There are so many different opportunities, at least one thing for everyone. Especially if you love yoga since there are three classes every week!

Betty especially likes the sense of community at Town Square.

I see people joining in here all of the time and offering their time to help others.

She’ll definitely have her work cut out for her in 2021, as so many people walk through the doors on the daily basis. But she’s looking forward to it.

Just getting more people around here again as the world gets back to normal will be great.

Thanks for sticking with us, Betty. We can assure you that you’ll have no shortage of cleaning this year!
