Mill Pond Terrace Donors

Remember when Mill Pond Terrace was just a dusty, dirty, weedy, old parking lot? Talk about a transformation! It seems hard to believe that Green Lake’s favorite outdoor event space didn’t even exist just two years ago. Like so many great visions, the idea is one thing. Making it happen is another.

The Mill Pond Terrace plan takes Green Lake Renewal's original idea to a whole new level, incorporating green and paved spaces, multiple levels and curved lines..jpg

Mill Pond Terrace is a true testament to what we at Town Square call The Power of Community. It started with “Wouldn’t this be cool?’ and then moved to “But how?” and finally to “We’re doing this!” That last part, the we’re-doing-this part, began at the White Hot Party in 2017 at the home of Rip and Sue Suster. The plan was introduced, and the crowd said, “Yes! Count us in!”

Throughout the rest of 2017 and 2018, more and more of you jumped on board, together donating more than $250,000 and becoming part of creating a beautiful space that has become your gift to the Green Lake Community. After the grand opening of Mill Pond Terrace in mid 2019, we were ready to go go go in 2020, with parties and events planned all summer long.

Not so much.

In 2021, your gift, your Mill Pond Terrace, is open to welcome one and all. In the wake of a difficult year, that gift is more meaningful than ever. Thank you Green Lake community, for giving us all this fantastic opportunity to gather in the outdoors with the friends and family that we have so dearly missed.

We can’t wait!
