Front and Center: The Mission Control Team
Ever launched a space shuttle and landed it on Mars? It takes a lot of details, knowing which buttons to push, thinking on your feet, and doing whatever needs to be done. It takes Mission Control...which is why that’s exactly what we call our volunteer front desk team.
Every day, at our busy and growing community center, people walk through the front door with questions, ideas, and...well, we really never know what they’ll say or ask. But no matter what happens, our Mission Control Team--Town Square’s dedicated front desk volunteers--is there to handle it. And if they don’t know the answer, they find it.
As Town Square continues to get busier and busier, Mission Control has become more critical than ever. You probably know Boni Jensen, who has been with us since practically the beginning, coming in every week to help handle the front desk. Her commitment has been a true inspiration. This year, new Town Square Board Member Claire Maes joined Mission Control, jumping in to organize, clean, and help create a new front-desk manual.
Can you say MOMENTUM? Just this week, Kari Schleicher joined the Mission Control team. You’ll be seeing her smiling face on Thursdays.
What do Boni, Claire, and Kari have in common? They are FUN. As the front-and-center faces of Town Square, Mission Control volunteers meet dozens of people every day, listen to great ideas, solve problems, and most importantly, are part of a team that’s making a difference in our community.
