Hawaiian Delights with Amy Reese
About Amy: Amy has been a foodie her entire life. When she was just a few months old, her mother would put her in her stroller in front of the television to watch Julia Child. "The rest," she says, "is history." She still loves watching cooking shows, attending the Kohler Food and Wine event and trying new recipes.
Surrounding herself with goodies that reflect her love of cooking, Amy collects cookbooks, kitchen gadgets and vintage kitchenware. Her favorite pastime: thrifting for food-shaped serving dishes. Her collection includes covered tomato bowl, cabbage plates and avocado-shaped guacamole server.
What? No pineapple dish? Everyone, be on the look out of one of these!
In addition to cooking, Amy loves photography, travel, art and podcasts. Professionally, she has been in the marketing field for more than 20 years, and was with the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) in Oshkosh for eight years before joining Town Square Community Center this year as Program and Event Manager. She is the ultimate multi-tasker, with both sides of her brain completely operational at all times. She can expertly research an issue, analyze it, come up with creative solutions and execute them--all before most people have finished their morning coffee.
Amy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in Fine Arts and has won two Silver Addy Awards for her creative marketing work. And yes, she can do practically anything on a computer....There are probably computers that could learn a thing or two from HER.
Amy Reese is one woman who really knows how to connect the dots. And we're glad, here in Green Lake, that we've connected with her! In so many more ways than one, Amy is COOKING!
