In this hands-on painting and learning program, you will learn to paint in the styles of famous artists, while hearing stories about “the characters behind the canvas”.

Living in a modern world filled with "selfie" portraits, we will create our own selfies in the iconic style of Georgia O'keeffe. 

Becky Andersen will keep the class fun by uncovering scandalous secrets about the artist throughout the process. There will be mistresses, mischief and more! Feel free to BYOB, though the fee covers all the materials plus wine. 

No experience necessary. Becky is a seasoned educator and will guide you along every step of the way. Register in advance by Monday of that week. 

Did you know?

 O'Keeffe's favorite place to paint was her car. She drove a customized Model-A Ford with detachable front seats and would turn the passenger car to face the back seat, which she used to prop up her canvases. The car protected her from bees and the unrelenting desert sun of New Mexico.

Local area artist Rebecca Andersen, uses various techniques and paints in creating magnificent masterpieces.  With an emphasis on acrylic and watercolor painting, artist Andersen brings life and vibrancy to any focal point.
