About Kim Bates
Kim Bates is a textile artist, known for her creative work with vintage fabrics and modern take on quilting. At Town Square, she maintains a sewing studio, and volunteers as a front desk docent and children's program coordinator. Best of all, Kim's sense of humor and zest for life shows through in everything she does.
Originally from Illinois and a former home economics teacher, Kim owned the West James Gallery in Columbus, Wisconsin, where she offered local art and fine craft items. After moving to Green Lake, she continued to devote her time to sewing and quilting, hosting sewing classes and teaching sewing and quilting skills. At Town Square, Kim offers group or personal sewing and quilting classes and does work on consignment.
