Pilates for a Better Back

This 8 week class is for improving posture, flexibility, and core strength focusing on seniors over 60. Instructor Nancy Vandervelde returns by request.

Nancy has offered this class for 5 years and it continues to be very popular. Nancy comes from a nursing background with certifications in yoga, pilates, and massage. She has personally sustained an extremely traumatic back injury in which she recovered rapidly and continues to enjoy exercise including horseback riding, hiking and cycling.

Nancy personally believes in the value of movement to sustain and improve our daily lives. Many people have reported back relief by following these basic pilates principles.

Class meets twice a week on Monday and Wednesday at 10:00 am. The class fee of $120 is due the first day of class and runs for 8 weeks. No drop ins will be allowed. You can try it the first day for $10 to see if you like it, but after that only enrolled students will be admitted. Please bring your own mat, a towel, and a yoga type tie.
