For the month of July, we are featuring the work of Green Lake native Ali Rossberg in the Town Square Community Lobby. The work on display will be a series of still life paintings as well as a lake life series (mostly local). You can meet Ali personally at the artist reception scheduled Friday, July 2, 5 to 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Ali is an oil painter and goldsmith. She studied alla prima figure/portrait painting at a classical atelier in Boulder, Colorado. After moving back to the area in 2010 she continued her studies taking classes and workshops focusing on plein air and figure/portrait painting at the Palette & Chisel Art Academy in Chicago and University of Wisconsin. Ali also learned the art of traditional jewelry making from her father Guy Rossberg and opened her business Castaway Jewelry Company on Etsy in 2012. When she is not crafting jewelry she is painting either in her studio at Town Square or plein air painting around the inspiring Green Lake area.
