The History and Habitat of Wisconsin’s Prairie Chickens
This month's Bird & Nature Club meeting will focus on the history and habitat of Wisconsin's Prairie Chickens. They formerly numbered in the millions, living in the widespread tall-grass prairies and oak-savannas of pre-settlement times.
Presenter Peggy Farrell from UW-Steven's Point, a Senior Outreach Education Specialist in the College of Natural Resources, will speak about her time with the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program.
The Green Lake Bird and Nature Club meets every second Tuesday of the month, from September through May. This meeting will take place in the Club Room at Town Square.
We welcome anyone with an interest in birds and nature to attend. Join their Facbeook Group for more information or call President Tom Schultz at 920-960-1796.
