Moraine Park to Offer Business Startup Classes at Town Square

As part of Green Lake Renewal’s entrepreneurship-support initiative launched in 2018, Moraine Park Technical College will offer “Start Your Own Business,” the college’s first-ever Green Lake-based series of classes. The program, starting in January at Green Lake Town Square Community Center, includes a series of five, three-hour sessions on topics critical to the success of new and growing businesses, taking students through the key stages of planning, marketing, budgeting and financing.

Open registration for the Moraine Park program begins on December 5. Students may register by calling 800-472-4554 or  920-924-3207. The programs are featured on page 10 of the Moraine Park catalogue being mailed to all Green Lake area residents. Classes will run on Monday evenings from 5:30 to 8:25 pm on January 21 through February 18.

Part of Wisconsin’s Technical College System, Moraine Park is known for its robust business management program, which includes coursework in business development, technology, quality, customer service, financial management, human resources, project management and sales.

“Along with this important coursework, we encourage entrepreneurs to enter Green Lake Renewal’s BizStarts program,” said Kate Salas, executive director of Green Lake Renewal. “In this mentor-based program, we will match you with seasoned professionals, successful business owners who are determined to help you grow your new or expanding business in the Green Lake area.”
