The Woman Behind Town Square's Camp Chocolate
In the summer of 2018, Town Square hosted its first ever Camp Chocolate: a four day camp filled with chocolate for kids in grades k-5. Participants designed their own chocolate bar, created a chocolate brand, made a plan to sell the finished product at the Friday Market at Town Square with the professional guidance of Heather Rawlings Davis.
Ms. Rawlings Davis is the founder and owner of Appleton based hot fudge company Polliwogs.Co, where she produces what many consider one of the best chocolate sauces in the world.
Started in Tucson, Arizona in 2008, today Heather’s delicious chocolate sauces can be found in Whole Foods, ShurFine, specialty retail and restaurants across the country.
All of the cocoa is grown with sustainable farming practices and techniques, and the hot fudge and chocolate raspberry choices are both gluten free for those with dietary restrictions.
Today, Heather continues to experiment with new recipes using Town Square’s commercial kitchen and business incubator, Green Lake Kitchens. She is currently working on a recipe for a white chocolate fudge to add to her collection of award-winning recipes. To learn more about Heather and her business, visit www.polliwogs.co/.
