Larry Gundrum Announces Retirement as Executive Director
Larry Gundrum, executive director of Town Square Community Center, will retire at the end of 2020, it was announced today by Town Square Board President Fran Hill.
Mr. Gundrum, also a member of the Town Square Board of Directors since 2015 will continue to serve actively on the board, acting as a close advisor and active participant in executing the organization’s strategic plan.
“Larry has taken Town Square Community Center to the next level, and we are so grateful that he remains committed to our community and forwarding our mission,” said Ms. Hill.
During his tenure, Mr. Gundrum has been instrumental in the rapid growth of Green Lake’s community center, successfully overseeing the completion of the Mill Pond Terrace outdoor event space, development of Town Square Tap, the inclusion of the Boys & Girls Club Green Lake at Town Square, expansion of Green Lake Fitness, upgrade of the Town Square campus technical infrastructure, and restoration of the historic courtroom into a new ballroom/conference community space.
In addition, Mr. Gundrum has hired and developed an energetic and creative event and marketing team who are launching an exciting new program lineup for this fall and 2021.
“Larry has made a huge impact on our organization and the entire Green Lake community,” said Ms. Hill. “Beyond all of his contributions associated with his leadership, with the arrival of the Covid-19 epidemic, Larry went even further, helping ensure the organization’s financial stability during this tumultuous time.”
