Town Square Business Solutions Offering Personal Help to Small Companies

TOWN SQUARE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS HELPS LOCAL COMPANIES NAVIGATE COVID-19 CRISIS

April 27, 2020, Green Lake, WI – During today’s swiftly-changing business environment, as many small companies are receiving pre-packaged ‘advice’ and  e mails containing long lists of government resources, Town Square Community Center has assembled a group of local business experts who can offer personalized, one-on-one guidance to local business owners who are seeking assistance in getting through the national crisis.

Town Square Business Solutions, a team of seasoned business professionals who are dedicated to seeing Green Lake area entrepreneurs and small companies succeed, has been working with local business owners for the past several years with mentoring in areas including finance, marketing, planning and issues regarding growth. Now, the team is focusing its efforts on helping the local business community persevere until the nation returns to normalcy.

“Running a business in a small community is never easy, and the current situation is really taking a toll.” said Fran Hill, Town Square board president. “We are so fortunate to have professionals who really care about our community, and who are ready to help on a personal basis. They know that our local entrepreneurs really are the heart and soul of the Green Lake area.”

The Town Square Business Solutions team includes business owners and advisors who have seen many economic downturns, and have figured out how to navigate through them.  Among the key mentors are Mary Jo Johnson, owner of McConnell Inn; Mike Havey, owner of Havey Communications; Marge Bostelmann, former Green Lake County clerk; and Chris Taylor, a CPA with Huberty and Associates. The group also works closely with the Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh.

“Town Square Business Solutions has helped me SMASH social media!” said Cathylee Arbaugh of Five Twelve Interiors LLC. “Once I was past the learning curve, in only two weeks, social media would be the only way my ‘non-essential’ business could reach potential clients.”

Added Allie Henke, owner of Young Stars Child Care in Green Lake, “It has been crazy but we opened back up today thanks to the PPP loan. Town Square Business Solutions helped prepare me for what things would be needed when looking for loans and funding during this time of crisis.”
