Town Square Awarded $1,000 COVID Relief Grant, Thanks to Fortifi Bank and FHLBC
June 10, 2020, Green Lake, WI – Town Square Community Center is one of twenty area nonprofits awarded a $1,000 COVID Relief Grant from Fortifi Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. This grant will assist Town Square with the financial strain brought on by COVID-19.
“The impact of the pandemic has made the support of institutions such as Fortify Bank and their partnership with the FHLBC crucial for Town Square at this time.” said Larry Gundrum, Town Square’s Executive Director. “We appreciate their generosity. This grant will allow us to continue creating programs and events that impact Green Lake and keep Town Square the anchor for our community.”
Gundrum also added that Fortifi Bank has been an incredibly supportive partner the past eight years since Town Square began, originally with a $50,000 donation, and then advising along the way. Kristen Hermanson and her team have been a huge help with Town Square’s daily banking needs. Most recently, they helped Town Square obtain PPP and SBA loans. Fortifi has proven that they are a true community partner.
To be eligible for the COVID Relief Grant, organizations must have a 501c3 or 501c6 government status. No other requirements were necessary to apply. Winners were randomly selected by Fortifi Bank at the end of May and announced shortly after.
