MEET AREA ARTISANS AT THE SATURDAY MARKET AT TOWN SQUARE

It’s part of the reason we love small towns. And it’s just one more reason to come and enjoy Green Lake’s lovely downtown. Every Saturday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, artisans from throughout the Green Lake area gather on the Town Square lawn to showcase their creativity and offer handmade items you simply won’t find anywhere else. And what is more fun than purchasing a one-of-a-kind item from the artist who created it? The Saturday Market includes seasonal regulars, plus artists who pop in for the day. Look for:

  • Pat Ehrenberg: Nationally-recognized quilter from Green Lake

  • Rick Ehrenberg: Woodworker with pieces that compliment Pat’s quilts, plus others

  • Ron Thorpe: Hailing from Oshkosh, a woodworker known for his raised, hand-crafted pet bowls

  • Jim and Joan Welch: Owner of Pincushion Gifts from Ripon, a cute and clever assortment of cloth-sewn animals, purses, bears and quilts.

  • Judith Street: Of Green Lake, with Street Corner Basketry featuring lovely hand-woven baskets in a vast array of shapes and sizes.

  • Judi Martin: From Markesan with Pupkiss pet bandanas, decals, napkins, bags, placemets and purses.

  • Diane Stone: of Mystic Readings with Tarot Card readings and more.

  • Becky Anderson: A Town Square artist featuring cards with her whimsical and imaginative artwork.

With the artists going back into creative mode between markets, this Saturday event offers a different experience every week. You’ll definitely need to come often! The Saturday Market at Town Square runs Saturdays through September 19 and continues to welcome new artisans and makers.

It is operated by the Corner Store, the artists’ co-op located off the Town Square Lobby, open weekdays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
