Biking in Green Lake Presentation at Town Square Community Center – September 10
Join us at Town Square Community Center, Thursday, September 10 at 7 p.m. for a special presentation about Green Lake biking trails, future trail plans, and e-bike 101 by Dr. Barry Rogers, Treasurer of Green Lake Greenways, and his wife, Ann.
Barry is excited to share new updates about Lauree’s Trail and how it will safely connect downtown Ripon to the new bike Trailhead at Town Square. Plus, he will talk about the future plans for “Loop the Lake,” a 24-mile bike route that follows the lake’s perimeter.
See what all the fuss is about with the popular e-bikes. Ann Rogers will assist so you can get the feel of an electric bike firsthand. She will discuss how these bikes bring an aging generation back to biking, and the rules for electric bikes on bike trails.
Have you noticed more bicyclists on the streets, roads, and trails? Your eyes do not deceive you. U.S. adult bike sales increased by 121 percent in March as people look for ways to stay active outdoors. In fact, Trek reports that 63 percent of Americans find biking to relieve stress and anxiety that has increased because of the pandemic.
Questions about biking trails, e-bikes, and bike rentals are the most popular visitor questions front desk staff receive at Town Square. Town Square Community Center, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit, is excited to bring this free presentation to you with the support of our generous supporters. Spots are limited, so register for free today!
Ann and Barry Rogers have hiked and biked all over the world. They have been involved with Green Lake Greenways, the Walking School Bus, and area communities advocating for safe places to walk and bike in the area.
