2022 Events Preview
As 2021 winds down, we at Town Square are busy planning a full new year of concerts, kids’ programs, parties and classes. In addition to our beloved ongoing events like bingo, the speaker series and farm markets, we have a whole lineup of exciting annual events to keep you busy! Here’s a little sneak peek of what’s to come in the year ahead.
Stay tuned for additional events and details being added!
COPPER BOX - FEBRUARY 5
Eveyone’s favorite COPPER BOX will take the Town Square stage on Saturday, February 5 from 7 to 9 p.m! The Oshkosh-based quartet delivers a punch in entertainment and musicality, playing familiar songs with a twist in a multi-genre accord (polka-rock-blues), as well as their own originals. It will surely be a high-energy, rowdy night of tunes!
NEW! BOUTIQUE BLOWOUT - FEBRUARY 19
Grab your friends and head to Town Square for a day of shopping, wine and DEALS! Local vendors will fill Town Square’s ballroom with marked-down merchandise as they clear out their winter inventory. Expect clothing, accessories, decor and more at reduced prices. Grab a glass of wine and sip while you shop 🛍
NEW! CABIN FEVER WINTER KIDS SERIES - JAN 21, FEB 18, MAR 18
Winter can be a struggle for families so this brand new series of kid-centric events is a lifeline for parents when cabin fever rages. Join us in January for Bad Behavior Day - color on the walls, OD on candy and jump on the furniture. You can’t do it at home, but at Town Square there are NO RULES. Visit in February for an alien-themed space adventure at Area 51. Lastly, stop by in March for Kids Rock Band to jam on instruments and even record a music video! These events are FREE and will be held after school hours.
SUPPER CLUB DINNER - APRIL 23 & OCTOBER 1
Our first supper club was such a success that we are doing it again - twice! Nothing brings people together quite like the classic Wisconsin supper club - when going out to dinner was a social event that lasted the whole evening, your meal came with a side of live entertainment and ice cream drinks were the preferred nightcap. Town Square Community Center will recreate that classic supper club experience for 120 guests with an evening of fun, dinner, music, dancing, and nostalgia.
PAINT THE TOWN RED 5K - MAY 28
The health of our community has never been more important than it is today. At our Paint the Town Red 5K, our community joins together to improve health, reduce stress and connect with one another. Families, friends and pets are invited to tour our charming community while visiting significant historical spots along the 5k route in honor of Green Lake’s 175th anniversary and Town Square’s 10th, both in 2022!
DINO DAZE - JUNE 11
This mammoth-sized day of family fun, learning and creating is back and better than ever! Last year’s inaugural Dino Daze drew more than 600 attendees to Town Square. This year we’ve gone completely dino-rific, with more dinosaur-themed games, arts and crafts, paleontologist Q&As, unique photo opportunities, and, best of all, a traveling fossil and dinosaur bone exhibit provided by Weis Earth Science Museum.
THE WHITE HOT PARTY - JUNE 25
Traditionally held at different residential venues each year, our biggest fundraiser (and most-talked about cocktail party) is coming back to where it all started - Town Square! More than 200 of Green Lake’s most dedicated supporters will dress in all white and gather to see Town Square’s greatest transformation yet and commemorate the 10th anniversary of the organization. This event features a VIP pre-party, hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and a live band.
KIDS CAMPS SERIES - JUNE/JULY
From Camp Chocolate to Broadway Music Camp, Town Square is THE place for young minds to expand even when school isn’t in session! Designed for children ages 8 to 12, day camps offer kids a chance to meet new friends, reunite with old ones and develop skills in the arts. Our kids camps work to ensure that children in Green Lake have the opportunity to pursue their interests, fulfill their potential, and achieve big things. Our instructors empower children to explore topics in the arts, health and wellness and STEAM by equipping them with tools for success and encouraging their curiosity. Stay tuned for dates!
PARTY ON THE POND - JULY 3
Party on the Pond is Town Square’s biggest community party of the season, typically drawing more than 600 people from Green Lake and beyond. In 2022, Party on the Pond will feature music by Chicago-based SEMPLE band, food, refreshments, dancing, games, raffles and fun for the entire family on the beautiful Mill Pond Terrace. This is a free community concert for all to enjoy.
TEE UP FOR TOWN SQUARE GOLF OUTING - AUGUST 1
When you play, Green Lake wins! Take part in the rare opportunity to play Lawsonia Links as part of a charitable golf outing that supports Town Square’s mission to enrich the lives of the Green Lake community members by providing cultural, social, recreational, educational, and economic opportunities for people of all ages. This first-class event draws more than 100 golfers and provides golf, a boxed lunch, buffet dinner, raffles, hole-in-one competition, silent and live auctions, and more at one of the nation’s top-rated courses.
GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT - SEPTEMBER 21
Gather your girl gang for a happy hour on the town! The event, located in Town Square’s elegant ballroom, will feature an accessories marketplace with local vendors selling earrings, necklaces, bags and more. Raffle prizes will include goods and services from area businesses. A cash bar will be available for drink purchases.
NEW! SCARECROW SPECTACULAR - SEPTEMBER 24
Head down to the beautiful Mill Pond Terrace on the Saturday of Harvest Fest and build a scarecrow at this fall spectacular for the whole family. We provide the materials, you bring the creativity. Families pay a flat fee to make a scarecrow, supplies and directions are included in the cost.
HOLIDAY FAIRE - NOVEMBER 26
Bring the whole family together to kick off the season at the Town Square Holiday Faire & Hofbrauhaus — a fun-filled day all around the cozy confines of Town Square Community Center featuring a farm market, music, ornament making, cookie decorating, family bingo, and a German-style beer hall in the ballroom. This event is in conjunction with the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce holiday event, which draws thousands of participants annually.
