Carol teaches from the hatha yoga tradition, and has studied and become certified through Wild Spirit Yoga in Tomball, Texas, with Jennifer Carmack.

Hatha yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas or postures), and sequences of asanas, designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones. The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body—especially the main channel, the spine—so that energy can flow freely. (yogajournal.com)

Carol’s classes incorporate breath work (pranayma), poses (asanas) and meditation with a goal of uniting strength and flexibility. Beginners as well as seasoned yoga students will feel comfortable in my classes. Time to put on your dancin’ shoes, friends. Karen Wisehart, who began teaching dance in 1988 at Arthur Murray Studio, has been dancing since she was a child and is incredibly passionate about teaching beginners. In this class you’ll learn the essential elements of ballroom dance, begin with the Fox Trot, moving through Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, and the Tango. This class will be held the first Thursday of every month.

• 6:30-7:00 pm First Lesson (An Introduction to Ballroom Dance)

• 7:15- 8:00 Second Lessons (A Beginners' Workshop)

• 8:15-9:00 Open Dance

Cost of instruction and Open Dance is $15.00.

The Open Dance welcomes everyone to join in regardless of class participation.
