Town Square to Host Stained Glass Workshop

Back by popular demand, artist Donna Marquart will be teaching a series of stained glass art classes on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning August 6, 2019 through August 27, 2019 at Town Square Community Center in Green Lake. Participants of all skill levels can sign up for the four-week session for $100 per person, which includes most materials.

Boat Jam Moves to Town Square's Mill Pond Terrace

Shoreline Boat Center of Green Lake, Wisconsin just announced that its annual lake party, Boat Jam, will have to relocate to land due to imperfect lake conditions. The event will be hosted on the originally scheduled date of Sunday, July 21, 2019 but the location has changed to the Green Lake Town Square grounds.

Town Square Celebrates Successful White Hot Party Fundraiser

More than 200 supporters of Town Square Community Center enjoyed a lovely evening at the White Hot Party fundraising event on Saturday, July 13 atop beautiful Sandstone Bluff overlooking majestic Green Lake at the property of the Vandervelde Family. The 2019 White Hot Party was made possible in part by generous sponsors and a team of volunteers. Special thanks go out to Co-chairs Joan Lloyd and Madden for their time and efforts to make the White Hot Party spectacular. Thank you to three local caterers, who teamed to provide food for the event: Goose Blind Grill and Bar, Horseradish Kitchen + Market, and Peppercorn Catering.

Town Square Tap Beer Garden to Open at Mill Pond Terrace

Town Square Tap, operated by Genuine Beverages, the producer of Fox Tale Genuine Craft Ginger Beer, will open this summer at Mill Pond Terrace, the new outdoor event venue overlooking the Dartford Mill Pond on the north side of Town Square. The taproom space will be located in the former Town Square garage and adjacent areas, being renovated this spring in conjunction with Mill Pond Terrace.

Larry Gundrum Named Executive Director of Green Lake Renewal's Town Square

Larry Gundrum, who has served on Green Lake Renewal’s board of directors for the past two years, has been named executive director of Green Lake Renewal’s Town Square Community Center. He will be responsible for planning, executing and leading all Town Square initiatives, including programming, events, and project development, as well as overseeing Town Square’s Green Lake Kitchens, Green Lake Fitness and Mill Pond Terrace, the new outdoor event venue opening this summer on the north side of Town Square.

Artist Co-op Hosts Holiday Open House at Town Square December 15

The artists of the corner store co-op will host a holiday sale and open house on Saturday, December 15 at Town Square Community Center in Downtown Green Lake from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Special handmade holiday gift items will be on sale, including jewelry, fabric art, photos, cards and framed art. Visitors will also get a chance to create their own personalized gift tags and ornaments at the co-op’s “Make It & Take It’’ tables for a very small fee.

Green Lake’s Kelsey Olmen Installs Little Free Library on Town Square Bike Garden

Green Lake High School student and Girl Scout Kelsey Olmen recently installed a little free library outside Town Square Community Center. This new community resource was late last month as part of Kelsey’s project for the Silver Award, the highest award for a Girl Scout cadet.

The little free library takes the shape of a small, red wooden box in the middle of Town Square’s bike garden. People of all ages may take a book without having to worry about any costs or overdue fees, and in return, individuals may leave a book for others to read.
