Green Lake Fitness, located in Town Square, recently reopened and members will notice some nice upgrades for an improved experience. The fitness center first opened in Town Square in 2013 and improvements have been ongoing ever since. Funds raised at last year’s White Hot Party supported the recent fitness center enhancements including a 24-hour key-fob system, carpeting and rubber flooring, improved wi-fi, and more.

Who doesn’t like a succulent chicken wing?! Eighteen-year-old, Green Lake summer resident, Will Gerstein sure does. On June 5, Bucket Wings opened to the public and the Town Square Community Center welcomed this young, savvy entrepreneur to not only help satisfy his own personal business ambitions but also your appetite for the all mighty chicken wing.

Town Square Community Center is one of twenty area nonprofits awarded a $1,000 COVID Relief Grant from Fortifi Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. This grant will assist Town Square with the financial strain brought on by COVID-19.

Here's big breaking news. Spectrum News 1 Wisconsin told the story of the Heartfelt Hearts that were placed on shops in downtown Green Lake. In case you missed it, Green Lake business owners recently received a heartfelt bit of happiness. Shop windows in the downtown area were surprisingly posted with images of hearts. The message on the signs assured the businesses that the community would be there for them when everyday living came back to normal. Beginning now, you’ll be able to enjoy noteworthy news and timely tips from various experts in the Town Square family to help make our time spent at home more interesting, educational and fun! SHARE IT WITH THE CLASS emails and social posts will offer up information on a variety of topics, from at-home fitness ideas to family art projects and lots of stuff in between. So watch for what’s coming your way. But don’t worry. There’s no final exam. Just a “curriculum” of enjoyment!

While you are hunkered down in your home, between ordering out from our fabulous restaurants, you’ve probably been cooking. So hey, let’s turn the heat up on the fun and make a cookbook together! As has already begun, we’ll share recipes offered by folks from the community through the Town Square email program. And eventually we’ll compile them to create an actual cookbook. It’s like a giant community recipe club!

Recently many who have visited downtown Green Lake had noticed something different. Something warm, reassuring and supportive.

Some wonderful person(s) had displayed hearts with messages of hope and support on many of the downtown businesses, ensuring them that customers will come back and all will be good again.

The Boys & Girls Club is coming to Green Lake! The fun begins this summer, as the new club — right here at Town Square — takes on Green Lake's Summer Rec program, with an expanded schedule of fun, learning and activities of all kinds.
