Starting January 21, 2019, Moraine Park Technical College will offer a five-week business startup series of classes at Town Square Community Center. Classes will run on Monday evenings from 5:30 to 8:25 pm through February 18. Non-program students may register after Open Registration begins on December 5, 2018. This show features handmade paper art from thirteen artists representing seven different states across the United States. In celebration of handmade paper art, resident Artist Tanya Schwartz will be hosting papermaking workshops at a reduced price of $10 per person and include a guided tour of the exhibit through the remainder of the exhibit. Read MoreGreen Lake High School student and Girl Scout Kelsey Olmen recently installed a little free library outside Town Square Community Center. This new community resource was late last month as part of Kelsey’s project for the Silver Award, the highest award for a Girl Scout cadet.
The little free library takes the shape of a small, red wooden box in the middle of Town Square’s bike garden. People of all ages may take a book without having to worry about any costs or overdue fees, and in return, individuals may leave a book for others to read.
