What an honor! Everyone at Town Square—and our entire Green Lake Community—warmly welcomes Greg Lundberg to the Town Square Community Center Board of Directors. As a Wisconsin native and business banking professional for over 30 years, Greg Lundberg serves as president and CEO of Fortifi Bank, headquartered in Berlin, Wisconsin. His previous roles within the company include executive vice president and chief lending officer. He also serves on the bank’s board of directors.

Can you say heatwave? Whew! If getting your workout in between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am doesn’t sound like much fun, Green Lake Fitness is the place for you. Yes, right in the middle of downtown Green Lake is a wonderful 65-degree oasis filled with cooool cardio equipment, including treadmills, steppers and ellipticals, plus the ever-popular “blue room” with barbells and squat racks. AND, as of this week, a Brand-Spanking-New Sound System, bringing you upbeat and energizing music.

It’s almost here! More than 30 boats will gather on the waters of Norwegian Bay on Saturday night, all filled with the most kind and generous folks you’ll ever meet. It’s been rough out there this year, and our entire community is so grateful to everyone who is taking the plunge to support your Town Square Community Center.

Green Lake is all about the People who live and visit here. Our community. When we all joined together to create our Town Square Community Center, it became obvious that community is a very powerful force. House full of kids? Birthday party coming up? Just need a break? Tanya Schwartz Roeper’s Papermaking For Kids is a super-fun, hands-on, creative and messy way to keep those energetic little people having fun while learning and creating. And only the finished product—not the mess—comes home with them. Book a party/class with Tanya for up to five children for just $15 per kid, and she’ll invite them into her own professional Town Square papermaking studio.

At Town Square, we’re always thinking about the future of our community. And who is going to take on the future? Our kids, of course! We love them today, and we’ll be so proud of them as they lead Green Lake into the next generation and beyond. This week, the Boys and Girls Club starts working at Town Square to make that happen. While the full club operation at Town Square has been postponed until fall, the Club’s mentoring program is starting NOW. Matching adults with children needing guidance or a positive role model in their lives, Boys and Girls Club mentoring makes a real difference.

It’s part of the reason we love small towns. And it’s just one more reason to come and enjoy Green Lake’s lovely downtown. Every Saturday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, artisans from throughout the Green Lake area gather on the Town Square lawn to showcase their creativity and offer handmade items you simply won’t find anywhere else. And what is more fun than purchasing a one-of-a-kind item from the artist who created it? The Saturday Market includes seasonal regulars, plus artists who pop in for the day.

If there’s one thing we like to do in Green Lake, it’s EAT. Town Square has become Green Lake’s own food hub, where we all come to enjoy eating, cooking, shopping for farm-fresh goodies, and helping new food-related businesses get going and growing. With the help of mentors from Town Square Business Solutions, Jeremy Stibb is following his dream of taking his love of photography to a whole new level: making it into a business. With gigs under his belt including photographing the Green Lake Annual Street Bash and the Green Lake “Four on the Fourth” run, Jeremy looked to the business solutions team for advice.
